Published on the occasion of the Grandes Journées Marin Marais 2006, these trio pieces are today already in the repertoire, despite the absence of modern editions and conductors. For this reason, this publication, based on the separate parts of the period preserved at the Bibliothèque nationale de France, presents a full score of the work simply and clearly. It allows for a wide variety of approaches to performance. Indeed, for 2 flutes or 2 violins or 2 dessus de violes and continuo, they can be played by four soloist or by an ensemble. This is an excellent introduction to Baroque music, whose simple structure can be enriched by numerous ornaments, and is equally suited to chamber music classes and orchestral sessions.
