Presintation:
Amédée Rasetti (1759–99), son of a violinist in the Musique du roi, brilliant keyboard player and composer, is best known for his instrumental pieces. His career was essentially devoted to the pianoforte, the new instrument in vogue, for which he wrote a repertoire mainly oriented towards ensemble music. He left several sonatas, trios and this quartet, a rare example of the genre in this period, along with those by Mozart (who was his contemporary) and Tapray, already published in this collection.
