Les Nations, vol. 2, version pour deux clavecins
second ordre "L'Espagnole"
In addition to the score and the separate parts, and based on Couperin’s indications confirmed by clues revealed by source studies, Julien Dubruque proposes a version of Les Nations for two harpsichords, following the advice given by Couperin at the beginning of L’Apothéose de Lully:
"This trio [...] and the complete book of trios that I hope to present in July [Les Nations], can be performed on two harpsichords [...]. I perform them with my family, and with my students, with great success, namely, by playing the first Dessus and the bass on one harpsichord, and the second, with the same bass in unison on another."
